I have been thinking recently that I should change name of our blog. The picture I have of Ruthfaelle standing at the ocean gives me a feeling of peace. This is how waiting should be. No worries. Enjoying the moment in wonder.
It has been the anthem of our lives. Waiting. We finally got past the frustration, realizing that we as people have no control over this process. It IS in God's time line and His reasoning is not something to be grasped by our human brains. This comes from a person that struggles with co-dependency. The need to control and organize situations can be overwhelming for me at times. Believing that it is up to me and how I do things in order to make things happen. Finally understanding that this is not true, has been first frustrating then freeing.
It is only by letting go of the need to "make things happen" that brings about God's perfect peace. God says in II Corinthians 12:9 - that His grace is sufficient for me. Sufficient. Enough. His word also says in Romans 8:28 - that ALL things work to the good for those who love the Lord. In Jeremiah 29:11 - he says that he KNOWS the plans he has for me! So, He is Sufficient, he works all things out for good, and he has a plan! He then tells me in Matthew 6:34 not to worry about tomorrow... and in Proverbs 3:5- He tells me to acknowledge Him in all my ways and HE will direct my path. Finally in 1 Peter 5:7 - he says to me... upon me and I will sustain you.
I am not sufficient in my humanness, I tend to mess things up and I have not a clue on a plan! So, who wants to follow me? Not me! I choose Christ. The cool thing is He chooses us too, his word also says in Hebrews, that He will not leave me or forsake me. God will not leave or forsake our / His children Ruthfaelle and Mackenson... He has a plan for their lives, He is with them, he will work all things out for them. This brings us so much comfort and is truly humbling to us as well. It is not up to US. These two beautiful children belong to Him. We wait on the Father to decide what is best for His children.
How we use our time is important as well. This is something that has become a burden on my heart. I will be sharing more about that down the road. I picked up a book called ">Before You Were Mine it is a book to help put together a life book for our kids. This is one of the constructive ways I've chosen to use my time.
Today we will be worshiping with our children. Talon will be with us physically, Ruthfaelle and Mackenson will be in Haiti however, we will be worshiping the same God. I LOVE that! I love that our little ones are in a place that worships Jesus Christ.
I pray that today you will experience Christ's love for you in a very real way.
